Bicycle Board Members, Chris Fletcher contacted me today to schedule for July 14, the workshop that the BB will conduct with the Planning Commission on bicycle parking and storage. I originally only copied the BB Parking Committee on the message at the bottom of this thread. Only Chip responded. While he provided valuable input, he did not volunteer to take the lead on this. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO LEAD OR PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP, PLEASE REPLY ASAP, If someone doesn't step up by Friday to lead this, I will tell Chris then that it ain't gonna happen. He has already discussed this with the Planning Commission and they want to do it. They are also willing to make it the second part of their July 14 meeting which begins at 6:30 pm. The workshop would tentatively begin at 7:30 pm and would best be kept short: say 30 minutes to an hour. I think this could be quite fun because Ken Martis and Jenny Selin are Planning Commission members. Bicycle Board Members, Please review and comment on the attached report to the Traffic Commission ASAP. (I think this is due to the TC today.) The next Traffic Commission meeting is next Wednesday and I plan to present the attached report. The Traffic Commission secretary sends out one week in advance, a package of read-aheads to the TC members and the attached should be in it. Frank

Nick, Even though you're no longer a regular member of the Bicycle Board, you continue to be on the mailing list. Former members continue to be on the e-mail list. I was hoping one or more Bicycle Board members would reply to my message. I know that some responded positively to Danielle's initial request. However, if that doesn't happen, unless a Board member objects, as far as I'm concerned, you can have the banner, business cards and bumper stickers. I'll get them to you. Good Afternoon, I would like to extend the invitation to both the bicycle and the pedestrian boards for the inclusion in the Transportation Fair 2011: Commuter Choice. I have previously mentioned the fair during the normal meetings. However, I wanted to invite you to participate in the fair and represent your board(s) by setting up a table or other education session the day of the fair. The fair will be July 1 11:30-2:30. It will be at Marilla park. If your board would like to distribute information and/or other materials or make donations, we would enjoy having you represented.
