Yes! People walk and run through the entire area, including Euro Suites, neighbors, North Elementary school, businesses, health care folks and all the way up Van Voorhis from the developments on the other side including students and families who often walk on Van Voorhis because of the steep ditches on both sides.

The options were presented to the MPO Policy Board in May. Presentation attached. It could be THE opportunity to make substantial improvements to the 705 corridor (Patteson, Van Voorhis, Chestnut Ridge roads)...maybe shared lane or bicycles may use full lane markings/signs?

Hi Damien,
If we're having a meeting, I'd like an update on the hit-and-run reported in the May 23 Dominion Post in which a large blue or black truck ran a stop sign and hit a cyclist on Carnegie Street: http://ee.dominionpost.com/Repository/ml.asp?Ref=RFBvc3QvMjAxMy8wNS8yMyNBcj…
"...the truck had damage around the front bumper and left front fender, was carrying a temporary West Virginia tag ending in the numbers 122."

Any items for the Traffic Commission? If not, I'm not going to attend.
