BFC Bronze Award

I received this in the mail today, so I guess it is official. The City of Morgantown is a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Community. The physical award (piece of paper) is with the City Manager's Office for framing. We could ask to have the Communications Director put something out. Bike Morgantown map route suggestions/edits

Hi all, WVU doesn't play until 7pm tomorrow, meaning you have all kinds of time to review your map/route suggestions and get them back to me! Please try to get them back to me as soon as you can. A Word document is my first choice for format. One person has already sent them back to me, so the early bird prize is gone, but don't let that stop you! In case you were not able to attend our meeting last night, here are some of the things we reviewed. December 1 Agenda: Meeting this Thursday

Hello Board! Hope you all had a swell Thanksgiving. Please find the attached agenda and open action item list for our meeting this Thursday. I encourage you to ruminate on some of the more existential topics beforehand. We've had some major successes recently and are, in my mind, witnessing a shift in distributed work on bicycle-related projects in our community. Tomorrow Chip, Derek, and Jonathan Whitmore will accompany Damien down to Charleston to accept the 2015 TAP Grant proposal that we've just been awarded for the 705 shared-use path project. And, as Mr. Whitmore announced earlier, our community has recently been re-certified by the League as a bronze level bicycle friendly community. Horray for us, and thank you all for helping to foster this community! Best, Drew

It might be interesting for Pos Spin to contact these folks to pick their brains, although they do mention that they accept donations (maybe a big source for funding).
