In the past, although there have at times been a sizable cohort, the majority of people who attend our event travel all across the city and only a handful travel up the boulevard. The gesture of police presence is flattering but I don't think necessary -- I cycled up the boulevard just a few days ago and the jersey barriers don't push cyclists out into the lane unless they're riding two or more abreast. Jennifer, Thanks for tweaking and combining these designs! In general, some comments: I think we'd like to retain the order of the chevron, the image of the bicycle, and the "may use full lane" language. This more closely imitates the design of the signs and lane markings around town. See a mock up attached as "version7" (sorry for the poor image quality; the image trace didn't work too well on your PNG).
