In general, some comments: I think we'd like to retain the order of the chevron, the image of the bicycle, and the "may use full lane" language. This more closely imitates the design of the signs and lane markings around town. See a mock up attached as "version7" (sorry for the poor image quality; the image trace didn't work too well on your PNG). Would you be able to move Option D and E to reflect this order and reply all to this email? Board -- what do you think about the five options as proposed and my variant? Option D, Option E, and Version7 are much closer to what we agreed on at our meeting, but I thought I'd share the others with you too. Also to the board: the only color available as a background for the reflective stickers is white. As a reminder, these stickers will be produced in two sizes as agreed upon at our meeting. The current proposed variants are 2" x 3", just under the size of a credit card, and will be printed on a retroreflective material. The same design will be produced on nonreflective material, probably around 3.5"x 5.25". Finally to the board, please comment on these designs before tomorrow morning. Family Adventure Day - Kingwood - May 20

Hi all, Just wanted to follow up on this event in Preston county coming up in a couple weeks. They are looking for someone to run some kind of bike-related event. More details: "We were hoping to get someone on site to help us do a bike activity related to safe riding. We'd love to be able to give away a couple of bike helmets or some other safety item like a headlamp. Do you think anyone would be able to to come to our event?" If anyone is interested and available, here is more information about the event: The Preston Prevention Partnership, the Preston County Family Resource Network and After School Explorers will be hosting *FAMILY ADVENTURE DAY* on Saturday May 20th from 10-2pm at the Craig Civic Center on Tunnelton Street, Kingwood WV 26537 (Preston County) The *FAMILY ADVENTURE DAY* is replacing the Family Life Expo. We are changing it up to offer families information and interactive activities that families can learn and do together. *If I don't hear anything from anybody by the end of the week (5/12), I'll tell Kim we don't have anybody free that day.* Thanks! Jing, At tonight’s Bicycle Board meeting, I agreed to send you the letter that the Bicycle Board sent to the MPO recommending bicycling accommodations for the redesign of Monongahela Blvd. between Patteson Drive and the Star City bridge. The letter is attached. Within a few weeks of sending this letter, Bryan Radabaugh, then WVDOH District 4 engineer telephoned me and told me that the WVDOH redesign would incorporate the recommendations described in the attached letter. (I know that a telephone call does not seem to be very official but that seems to be the way WVDOH works. In a similar case when the new I-79 interchange was added to the STIP, Perry Keller of WVDOH telephoned me to tell me that bicycle accommodations would be included in that project and now we have them.) I hope this message and the attached letter will be useful in your discussions with Fouad about the implementation of the north end of Mon Blvd. improvement. Frank D. Please voice your objections, concerns, or questions about the above if you have any, as well as send me agenda items you'd like included for next meeting. Hello Board! As the subject says, please indicate your ability to attend this Tuesday's council meeting at 7:00pm. I hear they might proclaim this month as 2017 Bike Month! I attended the ribbon cutting of the Falling Run trails today -- ten thousand thanks to Vaike Hass and crew for realizing that project. I am looking forward to checking out this new connector! The trailhead is at the end of Outlook St that turns off from College Ave. College Ave. is the road with lots of potholes (when you get away from campus) that begins in the area between Ming Hseih Hall and the Mountainlair. FB event page [1]. >From Mountaineer News: The Falling Run Greenspace is an accessible, vibrant urban oasis with the potential to become a central park for the heart of Morgantown forging a connection between WVU's Organic Farm and Main Campus. WVU's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Falling Run Greenspace will take place on Saturday (April 29) at 3:30 p.m. at the end of Outlook Street. Narvel Weese, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Blake Humphrey, Student Body President, will give their remarks about the project. The alternate Mountaineer, Trevor Kiess, will also be in attendance. Refreshments will be available. Parking will be available at the Mountainlair. Follow signs to site. The rain date will be Sunday (April 30) at 3:30 p.m. Follow us on social media for any updates regarding the event. Bike Board, You might be aware of the WVDOH open house tomorrow regarding the intersection at Collins Ferry & University in Suncrest. This will be an informational workshop <http://www.transportation.wv.gov/communications/PressRelease/Pages/Informat…> that is styled as an open house without a formal presentation. It's an opportunity to ask questions and provide written comments on these types of projects. If you can, please attend! Review the alternatives and ask the engineers/representatives how these alternatives accommodate complete streets ideals.
