Bike to Work Day is May 15th!

Hello Bike Board, Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 15th this year. So far, I have commitments from: - Black Bear (either location) for 25 free beer tickets - Real Juice for $25 gift card for raffle Last year we met at Hazel Ruby at 8:15am for coffee and treats from the Grind (contacted Rich already) and rode down the rail trail around 8:30am. Who can commit to participating this year? Any other ideas for making this bigger and better this year? Once I have commitments from a few of you and have heard back from Rich, I'll ask for your help to spread the word. Looking forward to it! Best, Emily

Bike Board Members, We are having a *Grant Planning Meeting* today. *When: Wednesday, April 15th. * *Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm* *Where: Black Bear Burritos - Evansdale* At the last Bike Board meeting, members discussed need to develop subcommittee to develop systematic plan for pursuing, obtaining, and managing grants. 5(?) people volunteered to help on this Grant Planning Committee. At the *Grant Planning Meeting today, we plan to establish*: - *1-2 year grant plan* - *roles for members* - *platform to evaluate existing funding to match w/ priority Motown cycling projects* - *discuss existing TAP grant implementation* - *prepare update for next BB meeting* Jing, Frank, Traci, and I have planned to be at the meeting. This is a great core group, but we can always use extra help. Please consider attending. Morgantown Bicycling Education Sponsorship
