Thanks for the information! I like this zoning change. It increases the density, provides neighborhood service, and reduces potential motor vehicle trips. At least, it is not a sprawl. My hope is that good sidewalk connecting the development to its neighborhoods. The Greenbag Rd Planning Study has incorporated that intersection area as a key node, where improvements are needed.

What kind of "large space user" is going in right in front of the school?
This space must be preserved for the bigger picture transportation improvements, including non-motorized, along that corridor.

The purpose of the Neighborhood Business (B-1) District is to provide areas for convenient business uses, which tend to meet the daily shopping and service needs of the residents of an immediate neighborhood, and which contain pedestrian-oriented, human-scaled construction that is designed to be compatible with the surrounding neighborhood character. The purpose of the Service Business (B-2) District is to provide areas that are appropriate for most kinds of businesses and services, particularly large space users such as department stores. Typically B-2 districts are located along major thoroughfares.
