Frank,
I don't think it's bad to write a letter to the editor. I think your letter is great if we just rework the last sentence to have more of a "we'd be really sad to see him go" vibe to it.

OK, thanks to all of you who responded including those of you who did not reply-to-all. Summing up the feedback, I don't think we know enough facts about what's behind Terrence's leaving to take action that would benefit him and not hurt us. So, I'm backing off from writing a letter to the editor.

Good letter, but do you really want to take a swing at City Council at the same time you are requesting funding?

Here, let's brainstorm his engagement with the BB if we have
positive
examples of things he has worked with us on.
- Established an objective to get Morgantown recognized as a
Bicycle
Friendly Community and supported application to the League of
American
Bicyclists that won Morgantown the Bronze level Bicycle Friendly
Community
award: the only BFC award in WV a state formerly ranked 50th among

I'm supportive of drafting a letter documenting his engagement with

nothing
else, that would be helpful for him in future endeavors.

Hey guys, He's done a great job for the Bike Board, right? If so, think
there's
something we should do to let him know we'd like to keep him here?
Maybe we
could write a letter, write several letters, or approach the city
and let
them know we think they'd be making a mistake letting him go?
Should we
act?
Any ideas?
