This is a good beginning! Ultimately, I hope we can get to the point that Bike-It, http://www.sustrans.org.uk/what-we-do/bike-it http://www.sustrans.org.uk/what-we-do/bike- in Great Britain or http://www.bv.com.au/ride2school/ in Australia have reached. Both of these program do a good job of engaging both parents and students to reach a successful outcome. Too, often, especially here in the states, parents, not their children, present the greatest obstacle.

Bicycle Board Members,
I just received the attached file from Nick Hein as completion of his action item "107. Prepare a detailed proposal of the Youth Bicycle Education plan, including an outline of class design and the detailed actions that the BB will be expected to take." He wants to discuss it at tonight's meeting. Since the agenda is already full, when we discuss the agenda as topic 2 of the meeting we can decide how and when to deal with it. My inclination is to put it on the agenda for our November meeting. At least, you could familiarize yourself with it before tonight's meeting.
