I understood from the State Bicycle Coordinator that the new I-79 interchange will accommodate bicycles.  I'm excited to see how that is being realized and I remain interested in seeing the WVDOH's plan for supporting bicycling to and from Morgantown to the University Town Center and the surrounding area.  Likewise, I will be interested in seeing the WVDOH's data and ideas for getting bicyclists across the river.

This is a reminder that we will be holding a public meeting for the I-79 Access Study from 4 until 7 on December 3rd, at Mountain Line Transit. The purpose of the meeting is to present the findings of the existing conditions report and to ask the public about their concerns with the current operation of the roadway network.

 

We hope you will attend this meeting and encourage others to attend the meeting. As you may recall this study potentially includes planning for an additional bridge across the Monongahela. We need public input and support to develop such a project.
