Hey folks,
I wanted to let you know how grateful I've been over the last few days regarding Frank's big thank you and the additional thank you responses regarding my guidance and part in landing the WVDOH TAP grant.  I'm glad I was able to help steer us to this point, but Chip, Frank, David Bruffy, Traci, and of course all of the folks who originally developed the SLM and BMUFL signage list prior to my being on the board have been crucial to get us to where we were able to submit a grant that the City would support and submit!  Big thanks to Jeff and Damien as well for being so open and receptive.

The work isn't done though.  Until they are on the road, we won't be fully successful.  We met with the WVDOH folks last Thursday.  They seemed to think that this grant would be one of the easier ones to implement.  We told them that we would take another look at the locations we proposed to fine-tune and update them.  I'm sending out a meeting invite for tomorrow to begin the updates they requested.

Thanks,
~Derek

Hi Derek,

After yesterday's meeting with WVDOT, I've been reminiscing about all the work we've done to get to this point where we might actually get the sharrows and BMUFL signs on the roads and I want to congratulate YOU for getting us here.  I wonder if anyone realizes the amount of painstaking and perfectionist work you put into getting every sharrow and sign in the right place on all those maps and then creating all those individual location drawings and then revising them after the BB reviewed them.  Then, you took the initiative to write the grant proposal and to coordinate the BB members and David Bruffy and the folks at WVDOT to create a winning proposal.  Your initiative, knowledge, persistence and obsession with detail brought us to this success and I for one congratulate you!

Frank
