I like the idea of the decal!!!
Connector between Suncrest Middle and Panera Bread? I'm not sure of its status in your plan. Urban Landscape has a plan for it. Kara would have it.

Chris did not have any preconceived notions about how it should be done.I explained that the Bicycle Board would like to use this opportunity to inspire other businesses to provide bicycle parking as well as to become bicycle friendly businesses. I said that I didn't think recognition from the BB would be as valuable to businesses as recognition from the City Manager, the Mayor or the Chamber of Commerce. Chris felt that the Mayor would be most appropriate to present the recognition. Chris took an action item to ask the Walgreen developer how they would like to receive the recognition. Chris also recognized the value of Walgreen stating that they installed bicycle parking because it is good for business as well as because the City encouraged them to do so.I told Chris that the BB is developing a local Bicycle Friendly Business decal that the Mayor could present to Walgreen so they could display it on their entrance. It would be nice if we could get all this done before the end of May, National Bike Month. We also discussed other opportunities for improving bicycle connectivity throughout the City. We discussed First St. between Jones Av. and Jones place. Recall that the Jones Place developer agreed to replace the stairs that go up there and to install a bicycle tray alongside the sidewalk so cyclists could walk their bikes up it alongside the steps. Chris showed me some wonderful drawings of a bike/ped connector through that corridor from Jones to Lorentz. I agreed to send Chris the photos of various bike trays that we provided several months ago to the Traffic Commission to pass on to the Jones Place developer. There are many at http://tinyurl.com/bl8zgpk and a few selected from there at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xquc4lbloa8r91n/OPyjZOafkO .We also discussed the opportunity to install a bicycle tray alongside the stairway that leads from the Law School Dr. up to the asphalt path that goes to the Law School adjacent to the section of Jones Av. that terminates behind Terrace Heights apartments. Chris meets monthly with WVU and will present this idea to them .Hugh Kierig is one of the WVU staff with whom he meets.Am I missing any bicycling connector opportunities that aren't already in the Greater Morgantown Bicycle Plan, https://www.dropbox.com/s/2qudksezy7cl4et/Morgantown_Bicycle_Plan_v15.docx ?Frank_______________________________________________Bikeboard mailing listBikeboard@bikemorgantown.comhttp://wvcompletestreets.org/mailman/listinfo/bikeboard
