I see in there the suggestion of creating park and ride.
Has the BB looked into creating park and ride (primarily for downtown people) utilizing the RT from Star City (traffic coming in from I79), and Sabraton (traffic coming in from I68).
I don't expect that the commute time would be shortened,but I do think it compensates for the hassle of parking downtown. Implementing the same locations for bus stops as well serves Evansdale (presuming people refuse to ride uphill), and those who don't ride but want to avoid the parking issues.
Ideally, I think parking on the other side of the Star City bridge would help even more with traffic, but I think we'd then have to convince people that it's safe to ride across the bridge, changing 3 lanes to make the left to get onto the RT. Or create a path on the right side of the bridge to the RT.

West Virginia University is in the process of revising its Transportation and Parking Plan, which was last revised in 2007. I wanted to share a copy of the draft plan with you and also invite your comments on it. A copy is enclosed. We are inviting comments until NOVEMBER 18. After that date, the Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee will begin to modify the plan considering the feedback received.
