Good Evening,

I would like to discuss the Bike Month events, promotions, outcomes and other topics finalized at the Bike Month Event meeting on May 2. I would like to give a general update, potentially provide links to data and flyers, and for comments and additional participation and sponsorship. (15 min)

And potentially discuss or mention to the members that the Bike Board should work in conjunction with the Pedestrian Safety Board to recommend 1 segment of road and 1 alternative segment to have a test study for video ped. and bicycle counts. (Bill may have already discussed this in my absence though. I will have to follow-up.) 2-3 minutes unless discussion

If I can think of anything else, I will let you know.

        Thank you,

Subject: [Bikeboard] Agenda for next Thursday's Monthly BB meeting

        Bicycle Board Members,

I usually send you a draft agenda the week before our regular monthly meeting but this month, I'd like to try something different.  I've been thinking that the draft agenda is essentially a "box" and my transmission of it asks you to respond to what's in the box.  Recently, I have observed declining member responses to communications and declining participation in board activities.

So, today, no box.  Please reply-to-all and say what you would like the board to accomplish at next Thursday's meeting.  Feel free to include any other information that might help the board to succeed in accomplishing your objective, e.g. how much time you'll need, members and resources you'll need, your approach, etc..

Hopefully, this approach will give you an opportunity to "think outside the box" and increase BB member participation.

The meeting will still start at 6:30 PM in the PSC Conference Room and I'd like to reserve about 10 minutes at the end for us to evaluate this approach.
