Sounds like a scallywag knocking somebody over to rob them. Or, just a strange crash...but why are campus police SO interested in finding witnesses? Was there such a public call for witnesses when the student was killed by hit and run while walking across Patteson last semester? |
Agree with Ryan's assessment of the downtown campus- I ride through there a lot. I'm with Frank in not understanding how the pedestrian was hit from behind- I mean how does a pedestrian suddenly appear just in front of a cyclist? Also can't believe the jerk just rode on after knocking someone down!

Between classes traffic is usually gridlocked in both directions and people walk between cars. Cyclists often filter the stopped cars and have very poor and very short sight lines.
The crosswalk is most likely purely coincidental. Nobody uses crosswalks on the downtown campus.
