I agree with posting the results of the Bike Friendly Community Award. Frank and Chip had good ideas as where to post.

Board,

Please see the League's detailed report on and survey responses to our 2016 BFC application in the email below.

What do you all think about publicly releasing this report? If you are in favor, how would you recommend we do so?

Best,
Drew

Your Bicycle Friendly Community Feedback Report!

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking part in the Bicycle Friendly Community process. We hope that the process helped your community evaluate how you encourage people to bike for transportation and recreation through the five Es: Engineering, Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, and Evaluation.

As your work to improve conditions for people who bike, we hope that the following linked documents help you move forward:
  • Your Feedback Report
    • The Bicycle Friendly Community Feedback Report is intended to give guidance on how your community can improve within the Bicycle Friendly Community program. It provides feedback relevant to each category and sub-category of the application.
  • Guide to the Feedback Report
    • This guide is intended to answer questions about the Feedback Report and provide explanations of how to use the Feedback Report.
  • Public Survey Results for your community
    • This includes public survey results for your community, the results from all communities that applied for BFC recognition, and comparable results from the 2012 NHTSA Attitudes and Behavior Survey.

Please share these documents with your top elected officials, relevant committees and departments, key community stakeholders and bicycle groups, and the public.

Your
Bronze award will be recognized for four years, so your designation will be up for renewal in 2020. At that point to continue your recognition or move to a higher award level your community will need to re-apply. We urge you to make as many improvements as possible before your next application and please contact us if you have any questions or would like assistance.

Once again, congratulations on your Bicycle Friendly Community award.

Best,

Ken
