Thanks. Sorry for the confusing in the first place.

 

Matt asked me to help him to contact a manufacturer that he fund on Alibaba. The purpose is to purchase some pedestrian safety items in large quantity directly from China with cheap price. It can be used during the WVU orientation and other public events to promote ped safety. Matt may get funds from the Safe Communities America for those purchase. It is not funded by the MPO.

 

Matt is concerned with the quality of the products. So I asked the manufacturer to send some samples to us. On Monday, I saw Frank at the Pedestrian Board, and I thought it could be great if they can send some items that can also be used by bicyclists. Maybe we will be interested in future purchase.

 

I got some suggestions from the several members.

This was a little unexpected and confusing -- sorry no one got back to you in the timeline you requested. Can you give us a little context for what we should consider in our search of their products? Is the MPO sitting on a pile of cash to spend on safety products that the pedestrian and / or bicycle boards will be able to distribute for free? Or is this just an opportunity for us to piggyback on a large purchase order from an international manufacturer?
