It is Wednesday morning,
And Christiaan's request is the only thing that I have on the agenda.
Perhaps it's how late Thanksgiving was, perhaps it's Pre-Black Friday blues, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Cyber week, the up-coming 12 days fo Christmas, WVU football's losing season, Paul Walker's death. I just don't know for certain.
So unless anyone has big plans for bringing Oreos and hanging out, I'm going to cancel the December BB meeting. I do suggest that a few folks pipe in to Christiaan and let me him know that you are able to help out with the planning of "Streets Alive Morgantown". Also keep working on those projects and keep the BB informed on what is going on with them.
Keep on trudging folks...

Friends - I have a request to add an item. There's an exciting groundswell of support for an Open Streets event focused on cycling in Morgantown. Essentially, an Open Street event shuts a road down to vehicle traffic and opens it open for non-motorized use focusing on being physically active. In this case, the hope is that it will be focused on promoting cycling, likely along High Street on a Friday evening in the Spring as part of the High Street "First Friday" series - it would be called "Streets Alive Morgantown". If you can identify a few folks willing to be part of the organizing committee I would appreciate it. We need many members of the cycling community, including bike shop owners, school groups, advocacy groups, and riding groups. I wonder if it could also be timed for the weekend of the App Sp Spectacular?
The next meeting of the Streets Alive organizing committee is January 13th in the Public Safety Building Conference Room from 8:30-9:30 AM. I ask that at least 2-3 volunteers be identified to be a part of the effort, please.
I will come to Thursday's meeting if I can but am meeting with a realtor that evening. What time does your meeting run? Thanks! Christiaan

Does it seem that November was a short month or what? I'm betting that December is gonna seem even shorter, bah humbug!
But regardless we have a BB meeting this next Thursday, here is first call for agenda items.
So stop your shopping for a moment and send me some things!
Thankfully yours.
