Bicycle Board Members,

Please find attached a zip folder that contains a suggested agenda for this Thursday's meeting.  It also contains one of the read-aheads: the Bicycle Board Goals to enable us to prepare for discussion about forming the Law committee.  The minutes should be out soon and Don Spencer's working on a Complete the Streets resolution that I hope you will have in advance of the meeting.   

Thursday's meeting will be another shorter-than-usual meeting.  I expanded the time allocated for reviewing action items because there are several open now and I wanted to allow the owners of those to have adequate time to discuss status and get help moving forward if required.

One of my action items from the last meeting was to e-mail you information regarding the state’s Transportation Enhancement Program and Recreational Trails Program grant information.  This link: http://www.wvdot.com/3_roadways/rp/transportationenhancement.htm goes to the TEP.  This link: http://www.wvdot.com/3_ROADWAYS/RP/rectrails.htm goes to the WV RTP.  As I reported previously, we've completed the Intent-to-Apply form for a TEP grant to support our Education recommendations.  Now, we have to complete the application (available at the TEP link).  The RTP link provides an opportunity for a grant to support trails development.  If any of you are interested in this, better get on it because the Intent-to-Apply submission is due 15-Nov.

Hope you're getting in some rides before we turn the clocks back next weekend.  Today, (Sunday) has been a marvelous riding day!
