Frank, why not just take 5min in the middle of the REGULAR rides and snap some photos with the iPhone. It's high enough res if you take them close. Just make sure you have good lighting (ideally bright but overcast).
Getting photos with cars involved takes a lot of planning, and it's hard to do and not end up with cyclists being 5% of the photo. Unless the car(s) behind the cyclist, which then looks like they're holding up traffic.
IMO, a good photo would be to get 1 cyclist on 705 up near Kroger/Mileground with one of the STR signs and cars driving around, with some of the hills in the horizon. Probably showing the back of the cyclist, near-center of the right lane.
I personally liked #3 as it had multiple jerseys from area groups, but it totally omits the casual riders, and being in traffic. I'd restrict a large rail trail group photo to specific articles on that, as that's often what we're fighting against ,"Get out of the road, you should be on the trails!"

LAB will love any of those photos. Wish we had some of cyclists driving their bicycles as vehicles on the road though.

To All Bike Board Members,
We need to pic photos for our BFC Community Award. Can you please take a look and vote ASAP!! I just got word today that our profile with pictures need to be delivered by today, so they can finalize what they'll put on our website. I'm not very available today due to being in a conference, but I should be able to check email somewhat regularly. I've copied Frank and Traci on another email to make sure that they're well aware the profile and photos need to be finalized and forwarded today...
Please vote for your top 3 pictures...
Thanks,
~Derek
