[Bikeboard] New Product - Pedalites

Good afternoon, I just came across this product on one of the science websites I read regularly. http://www.pedalite.com/

I thought the idea was brilliant, but once I looked up the price ($60 for basic pedals, no SPD or Look cletes) it occurred to me that you could do it more cheaply.

We've just ordered a bunch of flashing red LED taillights for $1.20/ea (our wholesale cost) that you could clip to your shoes or sandals. I'll give this a try when they come in and report back. Everything else about the idea was good - especially the prospect of making night side impacts from cars less likely.
