Dear Bicycle Board Members, During last months Board Meeting I was nominated for the spot as Paul Becker's replacement on the Board. As cycling is something very close to my personal and professional life, I have been extremely excited to have the chance to serve on this city's Bicycle Board. I feel as though there are new ways of marketing and educating the youth of this city on the convenience, fun, and healthy benefits of cycling. I also feel that I can offer a unique and experienced way to look at incorporating these new methods into existing Bicycling Board programs, thus allowing for a farther reaching involvement with this city's younger population. However, Pathfinder of West Virginia, which I manage, is the title sponsor and host of the 2011 Banff Mountain Film Festival this evening. I have been the main contact for this festival and have been doing most of the marketing and planning for our involvement for the last several weeks. Because of this, it would not be fair to the event or our staff if I were absent from the store or the festival this afternoon and evening. I understand that the vote is being taken tonight, and although I will not be in attendance tonight, I would appreciate your vote to be on this board.
Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you all very soon.

Hello all, Looking forward to meeting everyone this evening. I'm wondering if it might be possible to move the Paul Becker replacement item to right after the approval of last meetings minutes so that those not selected to serve might move on with their evenings. Thanks, Steve
