Good morning I am making final preparations to attend the League's Bike Summit March 8-10. I'm forwarding the latest newsletter from the Summit in which they ask attendees to bring/send photos of local projects that have benefitted from transportation enhancement funds. For us that would include anything paid for by our TE grant over the past 3 years. I would like ask board members to get send me anything you'd like me to share with our lawmakers to show them they are getting value for their money when I meet with them on Thursday March 10.
AND it's not too late for you to attend. Please consider doing so. As far as I know I will be the only person at the conference attending from our congressional district, and there's only one other person coming from WV. See the conference agenda for valuable seminars on becoming a more effective advocate. It's WAY worth attending.

Thursday Alternative Hands-On Session For those who are unable to attend Thursday's Congressional meetings, please attend the alternative session Bike Facilities in D.C. Toole Design Group, in conjunction with the District of Columbia Transportation Department, have developed a hands-on bike tour of some of D.C.'s latest new cycle tracks and other bikeway. The session also includes a brainstorming and design activity session. We will be looking at ways to integrate bicycling into the transportation mix along with pedestrians, cars, buses, and streetcars on a busy downtown street. Thursday Alternative Hands-On Session For those who are unable to attend Thursday's Congressional meetings, please attend the alternative session Bike Facilities in D.C. Toole Design Group, in conjunction with the District of Columbia Transportation Department, have developed a hands-on bike tour of some of D.C.'s latest new cycle tracks and other bikeway. The session also includes a brainstorming and design activity session. We will be looking at ways to integrate bicycling into the transportation mix along with pedestrians, cars, buses, and streetcars on a busy downtown street. No matter what your background is - this day is guaranteed to set your creative side free!
