Emily,
Thanks for replying! I think a discussion among BB members on the future of bicycling in Morgantown would reveal a range of perspectives and I don't think mine would be any better than others. I certainly don't know much about events. Thanks for telling us about Kid's Day on July 20th. I know the annual Appalachian Spring Spectacular is the first weekend in May: May 4-5 with May 4 being the long, hard "Bonus Ride" and May 5 being the 20, 40 or 60 mile easy rides. But, I expect at least gunnar, Colin, Andrew, Chip and Alice would know more about events and even the future of bicycling in Morgantown that I. However, if they all chime in with events and perhaps even a little perspective on the future of bicycling in Morgantown, I'd be willing to roll it up and deliver it to Chelsea after the BB reviews and approves it.

We are going to participate in Kid's Day on July 20th! I have a list of interested folks I'm going to get together in March to start planning. I'd be happy to give a quote about that.

Hey Guys, I'm ok with talking with her to go over certain events in Morgantown as they pertain to cycling. I already have a familiarization with WV Living Magazine at least from the Pathfinder standpoint. If you would like I can get a hold of her and do the interview no problem.

Nice points...Might the future of cycling in the area include a countywide bicycle and pedestrian coordinator (funded jointly by the city, county, and WVU) since roughly 18% of Mon County residents commute on foot or by bike? Something to think about. ALSO: I'm going to be in DC for the National Bike Summit the week after next. We need to ask our Congresspeople to come visit the district. Wouldn't it be nice to have Sen Manchin or Rockefeller or Rep Rahall (on the Congressional Bike Caucus) or our own district Rep McKinley at the Appalachian Spring Spectacular to showcase such a great event!? Something else to discuss. Ride on Christiaan

I think someone could comment on some of the bigger pieces of the bike plan, since it was approved by the city, talk about BFC designation, and maybe tout bike to work week/day since this article will most likely be in the spring issue.
