At the 12/3/15 BB meeting, I took an action item to identify infrastructure projects for which to apply for grants. The top 3 are:
1. Bicycle lane on both sides of WV 705 from Willowdale Road to Mileground Road. 2. Campus Connector from Grant Avenue to the WVU Evansdale campus. 3. Health Center Connector from old North Fire Station to Law School, Health Center, University Park and Mountaineer Field.
These were Engineering recommendations in our 2012 Greater Morgantown Bicycle Plan. In the attached Excel file, I sorted all the Engineering projects in order of the priority that they had in the Bicycle Plan and then marked in bold font those that are not already being addressed or are not exactly infrastructure projects. Some of this is arbitrary and others may disagree. I added a column of comments to explain my recommendations.
Of course, this is only useful if we apply sufficient BB resources to win grants.

These are all worthy projects and very different from each other.
The three are a good mix for maximum impact and all could use a boost.

Jenny,
Thanks for your affirmation. Since you are on both the City Council and the MPO Policy Board perhaps you could recommend who would be best to submit the grant application for the first project in the list: Bicycle lane on both sides of WV 705 from Willowdale Road to Mileground Road. That is outside City limits.
