I vaguely remember hearing about this, but I don't believe it was a Trek initiative, but something one of their mega dealers Chris Kegel championed, as he had stores both in Madison and Milwaikee. It might be interesting for Pos Spin to contact these folks to pick their brains, although they do mention that they accept donations (maybe a big source for funding).
