Bicycle Board Members,
Attached are the draft minutes of our last meeting. Thanks to Marilyn for substituting for Betsy! We'll need another volunteer for our May meeting as Betsy will be on travel.
Frank
Frank,
Thank you for your leadership of the Morgantown Municipal Bicycle Board. You have contributed substantially to making Morgantown more bicycle-friendly. I regret hearing that you resigned from the position of chair, although I am pleased that you will continue to serve on the Board. Your organizational skills are superior, and I have never attended better conducted meetings in my professional career.
My workload at West Virginia University is sufficiently heavy that I am resigning from the Bicycle Board. I do not have the time to adequately contribute to the many Morgantown bicycle-related needs. Even attending the meetings has become a challenge, not to mention the important between-meetings work. There is simply not enough time to accomplish everything on my plate at present.
The Morgantown Bicycle Board assumed important responsibilities and achieved many of them since its inception. We identified tasks and challenges within the city. We focused on achievable goals and objectives, and many of these have been accomplished. This has resulted from the hard work and perseverance of the talented Board members.
I thank you and my fellow board members for your hard work, mutual support, and fun. Bicycling is moving forward thanks to your commitment and dedication. I wish you well in your continued efforts. You can count on my continued support, but it will be from the sidelines rather than from the trenches.
Continue to do good work and to have a good time.
Be and bike well.
