Dear Bike Board,
It warms my heart to see the momentum you've generated in Bike to School Day activities. Many kudos to all you ride leaders, parents, and educators willing to take the helm!
Due to the imminent PSB construction activities, major constraints are being placed on meetings in the training and conference rooms from now until the end of the year. In the typical bike board meeting time and place, there will be potential conflicts with court and other activities from June until at least December. Although it is not imperative, I highly recommend you all begin to explore another time and/or place that you could meet. The conflicts will be much more severe after WVU is back in regular session.
Best, Drew

From Suncrest MS...administration
I am unsure how Suncrest MS got on the list for the Ride your Bike to School. The only students that would be permitted to Ride their Bikes to school would be the students that have signed up for a Bike Permit. I can only hold about 4-6 Bikes on our tiny Bike Rack. I also think it is supposed to rain on and off during the day Wednesday.
---- Jonathan - please make sure to remove Suncrest MS from +Spin Facebook posts. I think we just caught them off guard and will work on building momentum with less formal rides later this month and into the Fall. I'm sure they're afraid of injury and hiding behind a "bike permit" policy...we'll build the momentum slowly. I question the legitimacy of a bike permit, but will let that roll off my shoulders. If anyone is reading and wants to ride along, here are the start times in the morning:6:45AM - from MHS parking lot to South MS7:45AM - from Krepps upper pavilion to Suncrest ES7:45AM - from 233 Wagner to Mountainview ES Afternoon, South MS be at the school by 2pm, Suncrest & Mtview ES by 3:30pm Always happy to have more company!---Christiaan

And PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THAT EMAIL FROM ADMINISTRATION about the bike policy, etc!!!That was forwarded to me by a friend, putting that out publicly would not help get kids on bikes at Suncrest MS.Thank you for your discretion.Christiaan On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 10:36:52 AM EDT, Christiaan Abildso via Bikeboard bikeboard@bikemorgantown.com wrote:

Edited the post on the PS page.
Wow, it sounds like the exact same administration that was there when I attended the school! But I biked anyways, although, I had to park in the garage around the corner at the house of some family friends.

Thanks! We'll make it work, slowly but steadily. Had about 40 riders this morning, including nearly 20 kiddos (and 30+ walkers and parents) at Suncrest Elementary! One 4th grader literally said to me as we entered the White Park trails "this trail is my favorite part of the ride."
