Hey guys, There's a discussion on Mon Bike Club concerning cyclists riding way too fast on the Rail Trails. Does anyone know if there's signage on speed limit anywhere on the trail? I ride it regularly, and I haven't noticed signs. Has this issue been visited before with the Bike Board? If not, should we for our next meeting? If we want folks to clearly follow it, visible and obvious signage would be important. I also briefly looked at the Mon River Trails site here http://www.montrails.org/trail-tips.shtmland didn't see anything about speed limit. Thanks, ~Derek

I agree. I also think it has been at least spoken about. I also want to suggest moving the meeting to another week due to banff film fest. As usual it falls on the first Thursday in April and we always talk about how a lot of members are absent for it and how many would like to attend if their conscience would allow. Alice

I don't think it's about speed limits and rules per se, I think it's about people acting responsibly and w/ consideration of others. 12 mph headlong into a kid or an old lady might not be "breaking the speed limit" but it sure is a lot of other things.

Every year...
