Chip, Frank, Gunnar will reconvene parking committee to place one remaining bike loop. 217. Damien will send Traci the electronic copy of the bike card and Frank will find out how many he has left. 218. Traci will find out exactly what WVU is doing for Bike to Work Day and will let BB know how it can help. Event was canceled for this year. Sorry I didn't get word out sooner. -Traci 219. Cycling friends - You may want to consider writing a letter to the MPO & DOH commenting on the potential redesign of the 705/Burroughs/Van Voorhis intersection. The options were presented to the MPO Policy Board in May. Presentation attached. It could be THE opportunity to make substantial improvements to the 705 corridor (Patteson, Van Voorhis, Chestnut Ridge roads)...maybe shared lane or bicycles may use full lane markings/signs?
The Pedestrian Safety Board is drafting a letter this week to present at next week's MPO Citizens Advisory Committee meeting (Frank G is a member as well), including the following points: 1) view the corridor as a project rather than spot improvements; 2) request public input on plan options; 3) take a more critical look at pedestrian movement & safety, especially at North ES crossing; 4) link to projects outlined in our Pedestrian Safety Plan.

Good day all,
The summer months are upon us and lots of folks are going to be out, about and away. So the June Bike Board Meeting is cancelled for this Thursday.
Hopefully we can all take this time to complete some of the Action Items from May. I will keep track of the agenda items that have been submitted and perhaps we can even discuss via email some of them that might need immediate attention.
