Good day folks,
It's come to my attention that I'm not going to be able to make it to the March 6th meeting. I'm going to consider this a good time for a new chairperson to be appointed.
I suppose this probably isn't the best way for this to be done, but I also guess that it will just have to be.
If folks want to meet and discuss this as a group before the meeting or whatever, I'm sure that can be arranged.
I'm not resigning from the board, but it is time that we have a real chairperson.
Now everyone think a bit, then hopefully get outside to enjoy at least a modicum of this nice weather.
Gunnar.
Thank you Traci for sending out the latest Action Items. They are being reposted now as a reminder-
223. Traci; Find out if any WVU sustainability interns are interested in serving on the BB
224. Damien; Organize a meeting between city officials and BB to discuss the Law & Order article that will include Damien, someone from the city manager's office, the police chief, Chip, Gunnar, and Traci
230. Damien; Talk to Fred about BFC sign
236. Jing; Send information to BB about October traffic counts and send a list of other suggested intersections for counts
239. Emily; Email BB to ask who is interested in meeting with Clement Solomon at WVU
253. Emily, Marilyn, Gunnar; Review the education components from the Bike Plan to come up with a proposal for Allstate
255. Gunnar, Chip; Volunteered to pull together examples of secure bicycle parking that we can take back to the COW
256. Gunnar; Will check in with Damien to get the label for the secure bicycle parking that's already installed
262. Frank; Send the WV Connecting Communities Powerpoint from the meeting he attended to the BB
263. Combined a few old action items (254., 255., 258.) to make a new one that is 'Collect information COW asked for from Oct 2013 presentation': Emily and Damien are working on pulling together what various data collecting methods we can take back to the COW; APBP guidelines will be used to answer questions about secure bike parking that we recommend for zoning, etc. for the COW and Chris Fletcher
264. Gunnar; Lead development of a concise primer for city police officers that explains why bicyclist lane position is important to record on accident reports that the officers fill out
265. Traci; Look at what entities can apply for TAP funds and let Ryan Stocking know if a Board of Education would be eligible
266. Frank; Resend delegate names and contact information so BB members can call in support for HB 4304
267. BB members who were present; All will contact the various delegates and/or friends to ask for their support of HB 4304
268. Jing; Will send Provis database information so BB members can take a look at it if they like
269. Colin; Will ask Sara Zegre if she'd like to be the BOPARC rep to the BB
270. Colin; Will ask Chris Snider from Wamsley's if he'd like to be on the BB
271. Traci, Gunnar; Will delete projects 6,7, and 8 from individual project list
Looking for items for the agenda
AND someone to take this bull by the horns and run the show.
Jonathan has an agenda item.

And no one has stepped up to take the chairperson position. We really need this to happen folks.
So since I was only alerted to one agenda item (from Jonathan) I will say that the meeting is not going to happen. It's okay, the TAP folks are having a meeting anyway tomorrow. If anyone wants to join in on that I'm sure they'd be happy to have help.

Perhaps folks are still thawing out?
I was planning to be there tomorrow (with stale Oreos from the meeting I missed last month). Sounds like finding a new chairperson is top on the list for next meeting. We need to do some rallying of our troops.

Gunnar.

Hi All,
Thanks to Jonathan and Derek for sending agenda items. So far those are the only two who have said they are coming. How about others? Please respond by Tuesday 5pm or I will cancel at that time and give away my Oreos :(.
Thanks, Emily

April meeting is quickly closing in and we have heard nothing, nada, zip,
Someone needs to step up and take charge. Bike Month will be here soon.
I regret to say that I'm not that person and as such I hereby tender my resignation as Vice Chairman, effective immediately. http://bikemorgantown.com/bikeboard.php

Perhaps folks are still thawing out?
I was planning to be there tomorrow (with stale Oreos from the meeting
I
missed last month).
Any kind of Oreo is good.
Sounds like finding a new chairperson is top on the list for next meeting.
I would say that it needs to be on the top of the list before the
meeting!
We need to do some rallying of our troops.
Indeed. Someone really needs to step up so the BikeBoard can get back on track and move forward.

Looks like we have no real agenda.
The BB has been thrown under the bus...

Good day folks,
It's come to my attention that I'm not going to be able to make it
to
the March 6th meeting. I'm going to consider this a good time for a new chairperson to be appointed.
I suppose this probably isn't the best way for this to be done, but
I
also guess that it will just have to be.
