Hello Board!
Very important changes are happening in our City that concern you as a citizen as well as a bike board member. We're interviewing candidates for our new city manager!
Meet the candidates this Saturday from 4:00-5:30pm at the Waterfront Place Hotel (Morgantown Event Center). I'm requesting at least 5 bike board members show up to chat with these folks, inform them that our town is dedicated to cycling and is WV’s only bicycle friendly community, and to ask these candidates what their experiences with cycling are around their communities. Also you can ask them other questions, y'know, about non bike-related issues.
If you can attend, please reply all to this letter telling us such and also with any question(s) you're prepared to ask.
Thanks! Drew
All, please find the list of candidates below and do some homework on them if you have some time. Not that you'll be limited from talking with more than one, but if you happen to want to focus on one or the other, please include that in your reply. Thanks for the list, Frank! David Johnston, former City Manager of Maple Valley, WA Tim Holloman, former Town Manager of Oak Island, NC Jason Yuckenberg, Chief of Staff for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Washington, D.C. Mark Kutney, former Town Manager of Loxahatchee Groves, FL Steve Brayman, Employee and Labor Relations Advisor for Prince George’s County Public Schools, College Park, MD Paul Brake, former Director of State Operations-Michigan for SAFEbuilt, Inc., Laingsburg, MI.
