I have a prior commitment and cannot attend the Bike Board meeting on July 5. Since City Council approved the City Manager erecting the signs on the bike trail approximately a year ago, is there any reason why this cannot be done immediately? Sam Stone

Sorry you'll miss the meeting. I'm sure those of us who don't know you were all looking forward to meeting you and to have you start working with us. Our meetings are always on the first Thursday of the month, 6:30-8:30 PM. If you're like me, if you don't put them on your calendar now, there will always be something else there when the week of the meeting comes.
I can't give you a definite answer to your question. I understand that BOPARC maintains the trails but the Street Department makes signs. The Traffic Commission does not have a BOPARC representative. I believe our recommendation either will be communicated or has been communicated to BOPARC through the City Engineer who sits on the Traffic Commission. At least she agreed to do so at the last TC meeting.
